Helping People Achieve Positive Outcomes

Sasha Navarro, B.S.

Mental Health Counselor Graduate Clinical Intern

Sasha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sasha’s passion for mental health began early and has grown through academic study, personal experience, and meaningful work in helping roles. As a graduate-level counseling student, Sasha is committed to developing the clinical skills and compassionate presence needed to support individuals on their path to healing. My journey into the mental health field has been guided by both a deep intellectual interest and a personal dedication to advocacy, social justice, and emotional well-being. Sasha strives to create inclusive, affirming spaces where all identities are respected and valued, and aims to provide trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and client-centered care to those navigating a wide range of life experiences.

Meet Sasha

I strive to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and collaborative environment where clients feel seen and supported.
— Sasha Navarro, Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern

What was your path to pursuing the mental health field?
Originally, I wanted to be a writer with a background in psychology, drawn to storytelling and the complexity of human experience. Over time, my passion for understanding people on a deeper level evolved into a desire to be part of their healing journeys in a more direct and impactful way. This led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, where I became increasingly aware of the need for accessible, empathetic, and evidence-based mental health support. Inspired by this, I chose to continue my education by pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Along the way, I’ve sought out opportunities to volunteer, intern, and learn from professionals in the field—experiences that have only deepened my commitment to becoming a therapist who can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

What should someone know about working with you?
Working with me means entering a space where your story is respected and your goals are prioritized. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and collaborative environment where clients feel seen and supported. While I am still in training, I bring a strong foundation in psychological theory, a dedication to ethical practice, and a genuine curiosity about each person’s unique journey. I value transparency, empathy, and the power of therapeutic relationships in fostering change. My approach is integrative and responsive to the needs of each individual, and I am committed to ongoing learning and growth as both a person and future clinician.
