Meet Samuel

What was your path to becoming a PSR?
My path to becoming a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist is deeply rooted in lived experience and professional service. Having worked directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, I developed a strong commitment to meeting people where they are and helping them rebuild stability and hope. This foundation grew through my role in case management at a leading hospital in Central Florida, where I supported patients navigating complex health and social challenges. Additionally, my experience tutoring has reinforced my belief in the power of patient, encouraging guidance to unlock potential.

What should someone know about working with you?
I am especially passionate about integrating creativity into therapeutic environments. Music has always been a vital part of my life, and I love using writing, poetry, and rap as tools to connect with clients. These artistic outlets offer powerful, relatable ways to express emotions, build self-esteem, process experiences, and foster meaningful dialogue, helping clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their recovery journey.
