Psychosocial Rehabilitation - PSR
Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) is the process of restoring and building skills for individuals diagnosed with a mental health condition. Services are provided in the home or community settings and may be provided in addition to mental health counseling for people 12 years or older.
A PSR Specialist’s role is to teach and guide skills, including Independent Living, Vocational Coaching, and Social Skills training to:

Adoption Competent Therapy
Positive Behavioral Solutions serves youths who are or have been in foster care as well as those who have been adopted. At Positive Behavioral Solutions, we train our therapists in:

Issues of Adoption/foster care in Infants and older children.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) supports children, adolescents, and families to overcome the impact of traumatic life events, such as domestic violence, physical abuse, loss of loved ones, community violence, etc.
This evidence-based approach helps the client to develop coping skills, learn to identify and manage feelings related to trauma and learn safety skills.
TF-CBT is designed for children 3-18 years old.
TF-CBT incorporates parent engagement.
TF-CBT utilizes detailed decision-making processes and regular outcome monitoring to document treatment progress.

Our PBS Therapists offer in-school Mental Health Therapy in a safe environment for students, addressing both presenting and underlying mental health concerns.
We utilize various therapy modalities, including MATCH-ADTC, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Adoption Competency. This approach involves a tri-fold coordination of care and communication, including parents, school counselors, teachers, and PBS Therapists.
Through our collaborative partnership with SEDNET, PBS has and still provides mental health therapy for hundreds of students.
