Mental Health Therapists

Positive Solutions

We specialize in providing therapeutic and supportive services to children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families, including K-12 “at-risk youth,” ages 2 years+.

Duties & Responsibilities

Mental Health Therapists work directly with clients and families, providing individual and family sessions, and seeing all clients assigned.

  • Schedules and sets appointments promptly.

  • Establishes rapport and gains trust with assigned clients or families.

  • Meets weekly documentation deadlines, including Progress Notes.

  • Must be willing to collaborate with other organizations and providers for treatment purposes.

  • Communicates effectively with the administration team.

  • Attends Monthly Supervision meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

  • Must meet one of the following:

    • Eligible for Licensure through the State of Florida's 491 Board.

    • Registered with the State of Florida's 491 Board as a Clinical Intern (RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI).

    • Licensed as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist.

  • Ability to work with Children and Families (13 years and younger).

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists

Positive Solutions

We specialize in providing in-person, supportive services to clients ages 12 years and older considered “at-risk youth” and adults in the Central Florida area.

  • We provide clients who meet your needs and support your areas of interest as a PSR.

  • We prioritize the growth of our PSRs by providing training and group development opportunities.

  • We support our PSRs with an open-door policy, supervision, and ongoing support.

  • Before PSRs begin seeing clients, we offer the opportunity to shadow existing PSRs and group sessions.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Skills Training: Teach and reinforce essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-care. Foster a supportive environment to enhance clients' self-esteem and confidence.
2. Group Facilitation: Lead group sessions to promote social interaction, resilience, and coping strategies. Utilize interventions to address emotional and behavioral challenges within a group setting.
3. Community Integration: Assist clients in accessing and participating in community resources, activities, and employment opportunities. Foster community relationships and advocate for the inclusion of individuals with mental health challenges.
4. Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly assess clients' progress and communicate with the treatment team. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clients' participation, goals, and outcomes as per agency and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, or any related social service field.

  • Experience or interest in working with individuals with mental health challenges.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and verbal/non-verbal communication.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare providers, and the larger community.

Benefits

Requirements

  • Comfortable working as an 1099 Independent Contractor

  • Ability to work with Children and Families.

  • Ability to see clients in the office, home, school, and community settings.

  • Must maintain a consistent part-or-full-time caseload, seeing all clients assigned on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
