Noreen graduated from Florida State University in Spring 2023 with a Master's and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Noreen worked in various settings ranging from Private Practice and Employee Assistance Programs to Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital units. Noreen has experience working with all ages while guiding them through significant life events (such as divorce, moving to a new school, and job transitioning) and/or helping them with any mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, stress management, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and OCD. Noreen uses a Person-Centered approach while integrating interventions and tailoring her methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused therapy to match her clients. Noreen strongly believes that no matter how similar people seem, everyone is special and unique in their own way.

Our mental health influences our physical health and vice versa, so they should both be given the same love, care, and commitment!

Meet Noreen

What was your path to becoming a mental health therapist?
Double majoring in pre-medical sciences and psychology during college to become a doctor is how my journey in the mental health field started. While taking various pre-med and psychology courses throughout my undergraduate years at the University of South Florida (USF), I fell in love with mental health topics so much more than any other subjects that I pivoted from becoming a medical doctor into a mental health counselor. Heavily inspired by the licensed mental health counselors who helped both me and my loved ones, I dived deep into counselor education as soon as I could, and in spring 2023, I completed my master’s and education specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida State University (FSU).

What should someone know about working with you?
I put significant emphasis on the mind-body connection. Our mental health influences our physical health and vice versa so they should both be given the same love, care, and commitment.
