Meet Melissa

What was your path to becoming a mental health therapist?
My path to becoming a counselor was seeking healing, understanding, and evolution from my own childhood and adult traumas. This personal journey allowed me to unearth my truth, and the true power of psychology, in developing one’s self-healing, self-understanding, and self-progression. I know I am not the only one out there who has similar lived experiences. Know this healing is possible however, you must be willing to do the work, and it starts with putting yourself first.

What should someone know about working with you?
Receptivity, respect, and empathy experienced in our session are authentic and come from my faith in God as well as my belief and love for my fellow human. I understand the gift of bearing witness to someone else’s journey and don’t take such honor lightly. Therefore, whenever you are ready to start your journey of self-enhancement, please don’t hesitate to reach out, as I am here for you.
