Helping People Achieve Positive Outcomes

Maria Perez, B.S.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist

Maria has been in the mental health field since 2022 when she started interning at a counseling office and also a research assistant in a lab at the Psychology department at the University of Central Florida. Maria began to play an active part in the field when she became a PSR with PBS and got hands-on experience with the added benefit of helping people in need and watching positive changes happen.

I take a very personalized approach to each client and their needs by determining what goals you need to work toward!

Meet Maria

What was your path to becoming a PSR?
I became a PSR shortly after I graduated with my Bachelor's degree at UCF in Psychology. I wanted hands-on experience working with clients and the PSR job was the perfect fit for that desire!

What should someone know about working with you?
I take a very personalized approach to each client and their needs, meaning I ask clients as many questions as possible to get an idea of what goals we need to work toward. Once that is established I try to find activities that they personally enjoy that will help achieve their goals!
