Helping People Achieve Positive Outcomes
Leah Basaria, B.S.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist
Leah Basaria earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Central Florida. She began her journey in mental health as a Grief Facilitator with New Hope for Kids. She continued to have a positive impact on children through the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program, which provided her with an opportunity to create a re-entry program at the Osceola County Corrections Department. With suicide prevention as her overarching theme, Leah is passionate about providing individuals with resources and support that allow them to achieve their highest potential and best possible outcomes.
Meet Leah
“Don’t let anyone try to put a cap on your potential. The only one who can limit your future is you. If you are willing to work for it, you can have it.”
What was your path to becoming a PSR?
Helping people has always been what drives me. From hospitality to philanthropy, I have always found the most fulfillment in serving others. Most of my experience has been working with groups, but I love the individual connection and tailored intervention plans that come with being a PSR.
What should someone know about working with you?
I have spent the last five years networking with community partners who provide a wide range of services in Central Florida. I care sincerely and deeply. If you need a service or resource we can’t provide, I will connect you to someone who can.
