What was your path to becoming a mental health therapist?
Being in a two-parent household until the age of 15 was a tough transition for me. I felt the effects of not having a therapist and knew I never wanted anyone to feel the way I did. It is my goal to show my clients that their feelings are validated, they are understood, and they are supported.
What should someone know about working with you?
My view of sessions is not to conduct it as an interview, but to approach therapy as a conversation between a trustworthy friend. Some topics will be serious, but it is also okay to let your hair back and laugh at times. I am a therapist who has a passion for helping others live their best lives. I believe in encouraging and collaborating with clients to assist in their treatment and goals. We will tackle all issues together. Are you ready to become a better you and heal those open wounds?
