Positive Behavioral Solutions
Helping People Achieve Positive Outcomes
Josie O’Quinn
Student Intern
Josie is currently a student at UCF pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology. Josie has experience working in the mental health and behavioral health fields, including working as a Registered Behavioral Technician with children. Through her student internship at Positive Behavioral Solutions, she hope to continue gaining hands-on experience and learning more about the mental health field as I work towards my goal of becoming a clinical therapist.
Why did you choose to pursue an internship in the mental health field?
I chose to pursue an internship in the mental health field because I have always been very passionate about helping others and understanding the way people think, feel, and behave. I wanted the opportunity to gain real-world experience outside of the classroom and learn more about what a career in mental health looks like. My long-term goal is to work as a clinical therapist, specifically with children and teens, so I feel this internship is an important step towards that goal!
What is a fun fact about you?
I am a huge foodie and love trying out new coffee shops, restaurants, and sweet treat spots with my friends!
