Meet Ivory

What was your path to becoming a PSR?
My interest in the mental health field comes from my passion for helping people overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to support individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds. My experiences with DCF and the juvenile justice system have taught me the importance of patience, compassion, advocacy, and connecting people with the resources and support they need.

I wanted to become a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist because I enjoy helping individuals build confidence, develop coping skills, become more independent, and work toward their personal goals. I hope to use my professional experience, education, and passion for helping others to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I work with.

What should someone know about working with you?
When working with me, people should know that I am compassionate, supportive, patient, and nonjudgmental. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect and understanding. I strive to create a comfortable environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy helping others and being part of their journey toward growth and success.
