Positive Behavioral Solutions

Helping People Achieve Positive Outcomes

Mental Health Specialist

Davena earned an undergraduate degree at Ball State University in her hometown of Muncie, Indiana. Davena, then received a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Davena’s strengths are working with youth who struggle with behavior issues and social anxieties. She assists adult clients with accessing and exploring trauma that may have occurred in childhood or domestic environments. She assists both populations with finding a path towards becoming their best selves while gaining education and knowledge to maintain their positive mental health.

My office is a no-judgement zone as I am very sensitive to the struggles and needs of my community.

Meet Davena

What was your path to becoming a mental health therapist?
Davena is a northern transplant who moved to Florida to make a difference. She has a strong background in community service and grassroots initiatives, but transitioned to Behavioral Health during her Master's Program at USC.

What should someone know about working with you?
I enjoy my career as a Mental Health Therapist and being a witness to the transformation, empowerment can bring. My office is a no-judgement zone as I am very sensitive to the struggles and needs of my community. I am a mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and there is no struggle that I have not faced. This is what drives me to create the best outcomes for my clients.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am a horror movie fan. Although I am hopelessly awaiting the next great horror movie like they used to make back when I was younger.
