Salutations everyone! My name is Charles Sierra and I have been working in the field for 6 years. During these 6 years of experience, I have been working as a mental health technician in La Amistad Behavioral Health Center which has allowed me to work with adolescents who have struggled with mental illness along with substance abuse. When I heard about the PSR position, I felt the position could help many individuals in the community grow and find their true potential. Therefore, I wanted to be that push to have these individuals be the best version of themselves. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2019. I am pursuing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specializing in Family and Marriage Counseling at Walden University.

What was your path to becoming a PSR?
My path to becoming a PSR began when I was given the opportunity to work with various therapists which would allow me to become a proficient and successful counselor once I graduate. I believe working with a caseload will challenge me with time management skills and help prepare me for when I have my own practice.
What should someone know about working with you?
I tend to challenge individuals not only through given scenarios or role-play but also with assigned tasks given to them after meeting with me so they can rehearse and be prepared for the next session. I also teach clients how to maintain a conversation with others.
