Meet Alicia
What led you to become a mental health therapist?
My path to becoming a therapist began with my own healing journey. Before I experienced therapy myself, I did not fully understand its impact. As I worked through my own challenges, I realized that healing is possible when we are willing to face the parts of our lives that we have buried or avoided. I came to understand that unresolved pain does not simply disappear. It can continue to affect how we think, feel, and relate to others until we address it.
That experience inspired me to pursue a career in mental health so I could help others experience the same hope and healing that transformed my life.
What should someone know about working with you?
When you work with me, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you are accepted just as you are. I believe that healing happens through trust, honesty, and genuine connection, so I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.
I see therapy as a partnership. We will work together to better understand the challenges you are facing, build on your strengths, and make meaningful progress toward your goals. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered, knowing you do not have to face life's challenges alone. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they move from simply surviving to truly living.
