What was your path to pursuing the mental health field?
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Valdosta in 2022. I began my work in the mental health field as a registered behavioral technician in the Tallahassee, FL area. I implemented various ABA-based practices with children and families at home and in clinical, school, and community-based settings.  While pursuing a Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida A&M University, I also completed my internship in a short-term inpatient facility. I served children and adolescents in crisis, participated in intake assessments, and provided individual and group counseling. Shortly after, I received my Master's degree in 2024. I became a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and began providing services for children and adolescents as a Behavioral Health Therapist in June of 2024. In this role, I implemented a holistic approach and evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored for each client’s needs, aimed toward therapeutic growth. I recently relocated to the Jacksonville area, where I look forward to building new connections and supporting our youth!

What should someone know about working with you?
I enjoy supporting each child in their process of growth through positivity and true acceptance of who they are. I believe that any child can accomplish their goals with the help of a collaborative effort from their support system. I emphasize communication and transparency with clients and their caregivers to ensure progress towards achieving a goal and access to necessary resources. I also enjoy bridging one’s spontaneous creativity with various therapeutic approaches to promote a pleasurable experience.
