Acacia was born in Vermont and moved around a lot until she settled in Florida in 2013 to work at Disney. Acacia has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Bellevue University, and two Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and History from Northeastern University, formerly Johnson State College. Acacia lives in Orlando with my husband Mark and our two cats, Odysseus and Ulysses. Acacia has previously worked in crisis counseling, addictions, and grief counseling.

What was your path to becoming a mental health therapist?
I started my journey to being a therapist when I was younger, having a calling to it at a young age. It was a long journey that took a few unexpected turns on the way, including working for Disney for a long time. Though, I believe those turns have made me a better provider for my clients. 

What should someone know about working with you?
Working with me includes a healthy dose of humor. I believe laughing is helpful in the healing process and makes even the hardest moments bearable! Expect lots of puns and a warm welcome when you arrive at my door.
