DeAne Matthew is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Southern Adventist University (2003) and a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida (2005). DeAne provides individual, couples, & family counseling services, specializes in depression /anxiety issues, grief& loss issues, identity formation & childhood disorders and works with a diverse population of clients on mental health & life concerns.
She approaches mental health and life concerns from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective and often utilizes Transactional Analysis and Solution Focused Therapy Techniques in her clinical approach in dealing with a wide variety of mental health issues. She prides herself in being able to be an empathetic clinician as she embraces diversity in her clients on various levels. By taking a holistic, multicultural approach to counseling that values wellness and personal empowerment, DeAne strives to create a collaborative client-therapist relationship that assists clients in a deeper understanding of their concerns and how best to manage and resolve their issues for themselves in an effective and proactive manner.
